We have two holiday lodges available to rent in the beautiful North Uist area.
North Uist is a beautiful and remote island located in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It is the second largest of the Uist islands, and is connected to the neighboring island of Benbecula by a causeway. The island has a population of around 1,500 people, and is known for its stunning landscapes, rich history, and unique culture.
Verified Great location The accommodation was small and perfectly formed. We had everything we needed for a great stay, plus the best views I’ve ever had whilst washing up. If we return we will definitely stay again as it was so close to the good RSPB reserve.Verified Lovely little lodge A great location for exploring Uist. Swan View was meticulously clean and we had a comfortable stay. A wonderful view to wake up to and we were able to watch owls and the Northern Lights from the veranda. It felt very private but our hosts were around and we're lovely & friendly. They kindly introduced us to the local gin! We had a great stay here - thank you!Verified Charming little hideaway Swan Lodge is a well designed "pod" type accommodation no bigger than most people's front room but it still has almost everything a couple would need for a comfortable stay. Although there is no cooker, there is a tabletop hobb and a microwave which are more than sufficient for most meals. The bathroom has a shower, no room for a tub, but again this won't be a problem for most people. The wifi is excellent and the telly provides good streaming content. The view from the deck is fantastic, looking out across a small loch and surrounding area, very tranquil and private. There's a resident owl who we observed hunting along the shore of the Loch. Swan Lodge is ideal for couples who are looking for a peaceful getaway for a few days.Verified Great Cabin Beautiful little cabin in a loverly part of Uist. It is very well stocked and thoughtfully decorated.Verified Excellent The lodge is really nice. It’s very compact but fitted two of us easily. The area is superb for anyone interested in nature, with Balranald RSPB reserve just down the road and loads of beautiful beaches nearby. The hill with the radar station is a really good place to watch for birds of prey, including golden eagles.Verified What a perfect pet friendly little Gem! Nestled in North Uist, this lodge is perfect in every way! The personal welcome from Katie and every home comfort all in one bundle. 30mins from Lochmaddy ferry port, we arrived to gifts of wine for us and bowls, bags and treats for our dog. Everything is fit for purpose, spotless and all facilities are instant at the touch of a switch, home from home no need to overpack - add to this that you have 180 degree view of the loch and countryside, this is a very special spot. If birdwatching is your thing then we hope that you have the daily visit from the short eared owl and the Linnets which we had the pleasure of sharing our evenings with. It's the little things that matter and all bedlinen, towels, mattress and sofa were perfect after a day on the white beaches of North Uist. A must try little lodge that is big in every way!
